The day started with a great lecture from Dr. Drew Harvell about coral diseases. This was exciting because I clearly have a lot to learn. I have to say though it is hard to get an idea for exactly how much I have to learn because at least for me it seems like the lectures go by really quickly. It seems like there is an awfully lot of information in a very short amount of time. It makes reviewing the notes very important I suppose. After lecture we had a team huddle where we discussed a game plan for the day including our projects. Lisa mentioned that there might be an opportunity to go to Seattle to work on some qPCR. I would be very excited to follow up on this opportunity! Then we changed the water in the eel grass and I was able to design a system to help move it along quickly and efficiently! All in all it was a successful Saturday.
